Singer Wyclef Tugume commonly known by his stage name Ykee Benda is set to share a stage with big names across the globe in June during the World Cup tournament in Russia.
The "superstar" hitmaker has been chosen among the few African stars that will stir up the world stage.
Others include; Diamond Platinumz from Tanzania, Sami Dan from Ethiopia and Liza James from Mozambique.
Through a phone call interview, Ykee Benda said it’s unbelievable because this was not even among the few dreams he had.
"I am humbled, can’t believe music is taking me this far, ” he said.
He also added that this is a great achievement for Ugandan music industry if young artistes like him are achieving such opportunities.
It should be noted that singer Jose Chameleone also featured on the World Cup anthem and performed at the 2010 tournament in South Africa that had American stars like Kelly Rowland, Shakira, Wyclef Jean among many others
