Musician Nina Roz has dismissed concerns about a clash between her concert and Koshens’ show, insisting she is confident Ugandans will turn up to support her.
Both events are scheduled for December 11, 2026. Nina Roz will perform at Hockey Grounds in Lugogo, while Koshens’ show is set to take place at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
Speaking about the clash, Nina Roz said she was aware of Koshens’ event but remained confident that her fans and other Ugandans would support her concert.
“I knew about that event, but as a Ugandan, I’m confident that Ugandans will support me. I speak as Nina Roz, who was born and raised here; I know that Ugandans will come. Come what may, I will go on with my show,” she said in part.
The clash comes amid growing debate over the scheduling of concerts in Uganda, particularly when local artistes and international performers announce shows around the same time.
Nina Roz’s comments follow recent remarks by singer Jose Chameleone, who accused event promoters of organising shows featuring foreign artistes to undermine his concert scheduled for December 4, 2026, at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Chameleone’s allegations have drawn attention to competition among concert organisers during the busy end-of-year entertainment season.
