Musician Shammy K has revealed she almost committed suicide and was only saved by her mum, who asked her to pray to God.
The singer explained she went through a lot of hardships trying to make it big in the music industry, which eventually led her into depression.
She was staying alone in the house and feared speaking with people. She felt insecure, and negative thoughts overwhelmed her mind.
"I went through lots of struggles trying to make it, and this caused me a lot of problems. One time, I almost committed suicide, but I was saved by my mum, who called to check on me. She asked me to pray, and I found that love again. She even asked me to go back home to her," she partly said.
Shammy K's revelation is just one case among many musicians battling depression while trying to make ends meet in the industry. Like other human beings, they deserve love from friends and family.
