For the first time in his career, rapper Gravity Omutujju experienced a low turnout at his concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The rapper, who has previously pulled off successful concerts at the venue with thousands of fans, faced a rough time on Saturday night when only a few hundred people showed up for the show.

Critics have attributed the low turnout to the multiple events happening in Kampala at the same time. These included Awilo Logomba's show at Sheraton Hotel Kampala, Mike Wine's concert at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo, and Qing Madi's show at Zoe Grounds Lugogo.

Others believe Gravity Omutujju was not adequately prepared for the concert. The singer has not released a hit song in over a year, and the success of his previous concerts was largely based on his monster hit songs.

However, many argue that the low turnout at Gravity Omutujju's concert was a result of his verbal attacks against NUP President Bobi Wine. The rapper has spent nearly a year making controversial comments against him and his red camp.

Despite the low turnout, Gravity Omutujju delivered an energetic performance to his fans, though a few sound glitches marred the event. He blamed the issues on events promoter Balaam.

"Balaam can no longer manage sound; he is just destroying people’s careers. These machines should be used at their political rallies but never again at concerts," Gravity fumed after one of the microphones failed during his performance.

Gravity also warned other artists to stop booking with Balaam Events.
