Singer David Lutalo has spoken openly about why DNA testing is important. He said he would rather fix any questions about his children now, instead of leaving his family to fight over the truth after he dies.
During an interview, Lutalo talked about the recent drama surrounding the late singer Paul Kafeero. Kafeero’s body was dug up to get DNA samples and find out who his real children are so they can share his property. Lutalo said this situation shows why men should not be afraid of DNA tests when they are not sure if a child is theirs.
He explained that finding out the truth while you are still alive can save families from big fights and court battles in the future. Lutalo also supported the decision to dig up Kafeero’s body. He argued it was a necessary step to stop the long arguments over who should inherit the late singer's property.
In his view, it is unfair for real biological children to miss out on what belongs to them, while people who are not related benefit from the money and property.
The “Kabisi Ka Ndagala” singer also revealed that several women have come to him over the years claiming he is the father of their children. However, he said some of these claims confused him because he had never even met the mothers before.
Because of this, Lutalo insists that any woman who says he fathered her child must be ready for a DNA test. He believes checking the truth early is the best way to avoid confusion later.
