Bobi Wine's nephew, and son to Chairman Nyanzi, Sentamu Churchill, has expressed a desire to run for a parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2026 general elections.

Sentamu, who defied his uncle and father to contest against the NUP party candidate in Makerere University, says he is ready to take up a bigger position in next year's elections.

In an interview with Galaxy Television, Sentamu explained that he is waiting for God's guidance to pursue his dream and is hoping to be in Parliament by the end of next year.

Sentamu, however, didn't specify the particular constituency he plans to contest in and revealed he would do so at the right time.

"I have a decision to make, but I don't think Parliament is too big a place for me. If God wills, we shall take it forward. I have the desire to do so in the upcoming 2026 general elections," he explained.

Sentamu, however, says he will not be contesting in the same constituency as his father, Nyanzi Fred Sentamu, who is aspiring to represent Kawempe South in the coming parliament.

Sentamu Churchill was elected Makerere Guild President in March this year amidst reports of funding from the ruling government, something he vehemently denies.
