Musician and turned politician, Hillary Kiyaga, also known as Dr. Hilderman, has made a bold move, stating that he will support whoever is given the NUP ticket.

Hilderman, who is currently facing political struggles due to a disagreement with party President Bobi Wine, says he will adhere to party rules.

The "Mazongoto" hitmaker explained that he was previously given the party ticket and represented his constituents for five years. If given the mandate again by the party, he will proceed. However, if the party declines, he will support whoever is given the party ticket.

"I will support whoever receives the party ticket. I was supported by my party and have been serving for five years. If they wish to send me again, I will go ahead. However, if I am denied the party ticket, I will support whoever is given the ticket," he explained in an interview with a local television station.

Dr. Hilderman is a personal friend of Mathias Mpuuga, and their relationship has been widely criticized by supporters of Bobi Wine.

The singer, if given the party ticket, will be facing stiff competition from Amelia Kyambade of the National Resistance Movement.
