Addiction and drug abuse remain a big problem in the music industry and continue to affect various artists. One of those who has suffered from this epidemic is musician Grenade Official, who spent months in rehabilitation seeking a better life.

Months after rehabilitation, the singer says drugs are evil and dangerous to the human body. He explained that they are equivalent to death and he doesn't want them near him because they were the worst thing to ever happen to him.

However, Grenade says he occasionally smokes shisha.

"Drugs are not good; they're evil; they're actually the end of life. They are very dangerous and unwanted by the body. I don't use any drugs at the moment, not even weed, but I take shisha sometimes," he explained.

Shisha is one of the most harmful substances to the human body. It affects internal organs, especially the lungs and liver, leading to lung cancer and early death.

Uganda has lost artists to drugs before, including Qute Kaye, Fille, and Geosteady, among others. Often, the President of the artists and presidential advisor on creatives, Eddy Kenzo, has spoken about different measures they are planning to mitigate the problem, but these have not been effective in bringing about change.
