Tycoon Emmanuel Lwasa has pledged to clear part of the debts of alleged fraudster Don Chris.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Lwasa revealed his readiness to bail out Don Chris, emphasizing that he is a good man.

Lwasa explained that Don Chris doesn't deserve to go behind bars because he has supported many people, and it's only right to bail him out when he's in need.

Lwasa says every person will be given part of the amount they are owed by Don Chris and asked them to forgive him for their losses.

"I will clear part of Don Chris's debts because he is a good person and has supported many people. He shouldn't be arrested over that money; whoever is owed by him will be receiving part of the money they demand," he explained.

Lwasa, however, says that whoever is demanding money from Don Chris should reach out to him with proof; he asked for receipts or written agreements between the two parties.

"I, however, want proof of giving him the money; come with receipts or agreements," he added.

Don Chris is currently on the run after allegedly stealing over five hundred million Uganda shillings from unemployed youths. He promised them lucrative jobs in Europe in exchange for the money and never fulfilled his promise through his company, Sky Pins Tours and Travel.
