Last Friday, the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) suspended Full Figure’s program on Salt Television. The show, "Omususuzi," which aired on weekday mornings, was halted until further notice.
According to a document from the UCC, the program was suspended due to "abusive content, inappropriate language, and the display of unprofessional conduct" by its presenters.
In response, Full Figure, a presidential advisor, claimed she is being fought by "mafias" who don't wish her well. She stated that she will not give up despite the "distractors" and will continue to live her life away from television.
She also criticized the commission, calling it "redundant" for allowing other "unprofessional" shows to remain on air while singling her out.
"I am being fought by mafias but will never give up because I can live on without Salt Television. I don't do anything wrong; people who are always against the standards continue to do their jobs freely. I am just being pushed out through the UCC," she explained.
The commission revealed it had received numerous complaints about the program and that the suspension was in the public's best interest. Full Figure co-hosted the "Omususuzi" program with James Sekubunge, also known as Siyasa.
