Controversial singer Mulwana Patrick, popularly known as Alien Skin, has dramatically announced his departure from the music industry during a recent TikTok live video.
The self-proclaimed "Fangone Forest boss," who has been active for about four years, claimed he is quitting for good, citing overwhelming opposition from fellow musicians and fans.
"People who are not musicians also don't appreciate me... my enemies right now are doing everything possible to dirten my name. If that is the case, I am quiting music so that I concentrate on my life," he stated, adding he felt "stressed and depressed."
The sudden announcement comes as the singer faces grave murder charges. Kampala Metropolitan Police are investigating Alien Skin and associates—Commander Mudongo, Ibrah Kabadiya, and Mijagulo—for the alleged killing of dancer Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer. Namuwaya was reportedly beaten by the singer's associates, struggling with health complications until his death earlier this week.
Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed, "We are investigating the murder... The prime suspect is Mulwana Patrick, alias Alien Skin, together with his associates."
Alien Skin, whose name has often been linked to music gangs and violent crimes, remains silent on the allegations. If convicted of the capital offense of murder, the singer could face life imprisonment or the death penalty in Uganda. His decision to exit music now casts a shadow over his brief but tumultuous career.
