Legendary singer Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Chameleone, has opened up about why he continues to stand firmly in support of President Yoweri Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Despite facing backlash from sections of the public, Chameleone says his support for the President is genuine and rooted in both personal experience and gratitude.
Speaking in an interview, the Leone Island boss explained that one of the main reasons he supports President Museveni is because the NRM is the only political party he has known throughout his life.
“I support NRM and President Museveni for many reasons. It’s the party I’ve seen all my life. I love President Museveni personally because he is tolerant — he doesn’t act out of emotion,” Chameleone said.
The singer also expressed appreciation to President Museveni for standing by him during a difficult time, revealing that the Head of State offered him financial support while he was bedridden in the United States.
Chameleone reaffirmed that his loyalty to the President is unwavering, saying he will continue to support Museveni for his leadership and contribution to the country.
