Musicians Eddy Kenzo and Bebe Cool have been rallying support for President Museveni across the country, but the two stars have reportedly clashed several times along the campaign trail.
Speaking to the media over the weekend in Bugisu subregion, the Big Talent boss revealed that their misunderstandings stem from ego and jealousy.
Kenzo explained that Bebe Cool has failed to accept his leadership role in Uganda’s creative industry, which has fueled tension between them.
“Emotions have always got the better of him — ego. It’s the reason I always clash with Bebe Cool. He doesn’t want to accept that a young man like me can be their leader. I don’t let him do as he wishes because I work to satisfy many, not a few,” Kenzo said.
The Grammy nominee added that he still respects Bebe Cool but remains focused on his duty as the president of musicians in Uganda.
“I give him respect, but they don’t accept that. I respect them, but I have to do my job as a leader and decide for the good of all artistes,” he added.
