Musician Gloria Bugie has called out a group of fellow artists whom she accuses of being jealous and intimidated by her progress in the Ugandan music industry.
During a recent interview with a local YouTuber, Bugie said that some musicians feel threatened by her talent and influence, leading them to speak ill of her in an attempt to damage her confidence and slow down her growth.
She explained that their negativity stems from fear and failure to produce music that resonates with audiences.
“Some of the musicians are intimidated because of my craft. They speak trash about me because they are in fear. They want to weaken me because they are afraid of my influence,” Bugie said.
Bugie advised her critics to turn their focus back to music production rather than plotting against her.
“I advise them to do better—go to studio, work and release music. It’s not about me, it’s about good music,” she added.
The singer insists she will not be shaken and is determined to continue pushing her career to greater heights despite attempts to pull her down.
