Media personality Edwin Katamba, popularly known as MC Kats, has opened up about his past relationship with singer Fille Mutoni, revealing emotional and intimate details about their journey together.
Speaking in a recent interview, Kats disclosed that Fille was fully aware of his HIV status from the very beginning, long before they officially began dating or became intimate. According to the Galaxy FM presenter, he lived in fear of infecting her, but Fille chose faith over fear.
“Fille knew I was sick from day one. Even the first time we bonked, I asked her— if I infect you with HIV? And she responded saying, ‘Let’s leave that to God.’” Kats said.
He added that despite the risks involved, Fille never hesitated, insisting she trusted God to protect her. Kats, who shares a daughter with the songstress, says that strong emotional bond is something he holds dearly and will never take for granted.
“We really have a strong connection and it’s the reason I can never give up on her. She is in another relationship at the moment—just like me— but there is mutual respect.” he explained.
Kats also described both Fille and their daughter as miracles, celebrating the fact that both are HIV negative, something he says continues to amaze him.
The revelation has drawn massive reactions online, with many praising Fille for her courage and strength, and others applauding Kats for his openness in fighting HIV stigma.
