Media personality Frank Gashumba claims he has received widespread public support in his campaign against pastors who present themselves as miracle workers, saying even supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) have joined him.
Speaking in an interview with Bruno K on TikTok, Gashumba described the support as historic, claiming that people who have disagreed with him politically in the past are now backing his campaign.
“I am fully backed by everyone against the fake pastors in Uganda. Even NUP fans are supporting me in my fight against them. It is historic that they are supporting me for the first time in five years,” he said.
Gashumba recently declared war on pastors who promote themselves as miracle workers in Kampala, questioning their claims and challenging them to demonstrate their powers.
His remarks have sparked a public dispute, with several pastors reportedly responding to his criticism.
Gashumba has continued to stand by his position, insisting that his campaign is gaining support beyond political divisions. However, his claim that he has the backing of all Ugandans has not been independently established.
