Musician Ykee Benda, who has been performing at President Museveni’s rallies across the country, survived a car accident on Monday in Kyegegwa District.
The singer was traveling to a second rally when the vehicle he was in failed to negotiate a sharp corner and hit a wall.
Speaking to a local television station, Ykee Benda confirmed that he escaped with minor injuries and none of his team members lost their lives.
“We got an accident as I was traveling for the second rally in Kyegegwa District. It was a sharp corner and we hit the wall. I didn’t get major injuries; I am receiving treatment and the team is safe as well,” he explained.
The singer revealed that one of his arms twisted during the incident but has since improved after receiving medical attention.
His confirmation has put to rest earlier rumors claiming the accident was fatal.
