Musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has revealed why he has spent nearly two months without performing at President Yoweri Museveni’s campaign rallies.

Speaking during a TikTok discussion, the Sitya Danger star explained that his decision is rooted in the experiences and sentiments of the Ghetto community where he grew up.

Alien Skin shared that before joining the music industry, he often criticized artists who performed at presidential rallies, believing they were benefiting from taxpayers' money while ordinary youth in the ghetto continued to suffer.

He says stepping away from the campaign trail is his way of standing in solidarity with the ghetto youths who still hold those beliefs.

“Before joining music, I felt musicians who performed at President Museveni's rallies were thriving because of taxpayers’ money. So I chose to move out because of the people I left in the ghetto. I am standing in solidarity with them because they still believe that way. Performing on campaigns would be betrayal,” he said.

Alien Skin added that some people assumed he might instigate violence during campaign events, something that prompted him to withdraw for both his own safety and that of the ghetto community he still associates with.
