Musician Carol Nantongo took a major step toward marriage on Wednesday after her longtime boyfriend Dylan visited her parents in a pre-introduction ceremony.
Among the guests was veteran singer Hajji Haruna Mubiru, who used the moment to offer heartfelt guidance to the young couple. Having lived in the spotlight for years, Haruna advised Carol and Dylan to protect their relationship by keeping it away from social media.
Haruna noted that while social media can be supportive, it also hosts negative voices that can easily ruin what is still growing.
“Carol is a good girl, and she deserves peace in her relationship. Not everything needs to be online. Social media has good people, but it also has bad people who can destroy what is still growing,” he told Sanyuka Television.
