Popular TikToker and YouTuber Shalom Kaweesi is most likely to spend the upcoming Christmas celebrations in Luzira Maximum Prison following his remand by court over alleged cyber harassment.

Shalom was remanded by a Chief Magistrate at Makindye Magistrates Court in Kampala, where he appeared in connection with a cyber harassment case. He was sent to Luzira Prison until December 30 as state authorities continue with investigations.

According to court proceedings, Shalom Kaweesi is allegedly battling multiple complaints related to hate speech and cyber harassment. The cases were reportedly filed by Jennifer Nakagubi, popularly known as Full Figure, who accuses him of harassing her through online discussions and digital platforms.

Other reports further indicate that the social media personality may also be facing a computer misuse case, compounding his legal troubles.

In recent weeks, Shalom Kaweesi has been involved in public online clashes with fellow blogger Tamale Mirundi Junior, exchanges that attracted widespread attention on social media.

However, hope for temporary freedom remains. Kasuku, a close friend to the accused, revealed that efforts are underway to secure Shalom’s release.

Kasuku says he is working with different lawyers to apply for bail so that Shalom Kaweesi can continue fighting the cases while out of prison and carry on with his work, sources close to the matter revealed.

As the legal process unfolds, Shalom Kaweesi’s situation has sparked mixed reactions online, with supporters calling for due process while critics insist the law must take its course.
