The wife of the late comedian Kapere Lufotose is reportedly facing a dispute with people claiming to be his relatives over where his body should be buried.
Kapere had previously stated that he considered his family to be his wife, children and friends he had made in Kampala.
However, following his death, reports emerged that several people had come forward claiming to be his relatives and demanding that his body be taken to Mityana for burial.
The claims were reportedly disputed by his wife, who declined to hand over the body to the individuals.
Speaking about the matter, Kapere’s wife said the comedian had expressed his wish to be buried on his personal plot of land in Kiyunga, Mukono District.
As of Tuesday morning, preparations were reportedly underway for his burial, which was scheduled for 4:00 pm.
