Bobi Wine’s nephew, Sentamu Churchill, has suffered a humiliating defeat after managing to secure only 34 votes in the Central Youth Member of Parliament elections.
Churchill, who ran as an independent candidate, was forced to contest without the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket after reportedly being denied party endorsement.
According to official results released by the Electoral Commission, NRM’s Begira Samwel emerged winner with a landslide 1,001 votes, leaving Churchill far behind with just 34.
Following the defeat, Churchill blamed his poor performance on what he described as election injustices and malpractices, insisting that the outcome would have been different if the process had been fair.
“I should have won if the elections were free and fair,” he reportedly claimed.
Churchill James Sentamu is the son of Nyanzi Fred Sentamu, the elder brother to Bobi Wine.
He is also the current Guild President of Makerere University, a position that had given many supporters hope that he would perform better in the youth elections.
