Singer Papa Cidy, who used to be part of the Leone Island Music group, has made a public plea to his former boss, Dr. Jose Chameleone. He is asking for his fair share of unpaid music royalties and performance money from the projects they did together.

In a respectful open message to the famous star, Papa Cidy praised Chameleone’s character but urged him to fix financial problems that have been ignored for many years.

"Dear Dr. Jose Chameleone, I have always known you as a good person, and that's why I am reaching out to you respectfully," Papa Cidy wrote.

The singer talked specifically about the songs they recorded together, including the hit song "Daniela," which is still on Chameleone's online platforms. Papa Cidy said he spent a lot of his own money on those projects, so he deserves a share of the money the songs still make.

"You know how much I invested in those projects. I believe I deserve a paycheck from royalty collections," he said.

Papa Cidy also claimed that he was never paid for a show they performed together in London. He expressed sadness over working for years without getting paid.

"Even the last time we performed together in London, I was never paid. How are we supposed to survive if we keep working for free?" he asked.

The former Leone Island singer made it clear that he does not want to start a fight. He just wants to resolve the issue peacefully while they are both still alive. He urged Chameleone to value his work partners now, pointing out that in the Ugandan music industry, artists are often only celebrated after they die.

"I am only asking for fairness and for us to resolve these issues while we are all still here," Papa Cidy said.
