Singer Winnie Nwagi has opened up about the relationship between her daughter and the child’s father, claiming he has never contributed towards her school fees or other essential needs.
Speaking during a discussion with fellow singer Sheebah Karungi, Nwagi said the lack of financial support has affected how her daughter views her father over the years.
“The father of my daughter has no respect from her. He has never paid for her any school fees or other dues for her... she has since realised it,” she said.
Nwagi also revealed that the father attempted to celebrate their daughter’s Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) by showing up with flowers and gifts.
However, according to Nwagi, her daughter declined the gifts, citing his continued lack of contribution towards her education and other needs.
The singer’s comments highlight the long-running strain in the relationship between her daughter and her father, although his response to the claims was not included.
