Black Magic Entertainment singer Martha Mukisa has criticised what she considers a growing trend among men, arguing that some are increasingly expecting women to treat them like “princesses” instead of taking on traditional responsibilities.

Speaking about modern relationships, the mother of one questioned men who spend excessive amounts of time on social media trying to enhance their appearance while neglecting their financial responsibilities.

“The challenge we are facing now is that we have men who these days want to be treated like princesses. How can a man be on Snapchat trying to look beautiful and even use filters?” she questioned.

‘Stop Showing Fake Lifestyles’

Mukisa also took aim at men who spend much of their time showcasing expensive-looking lifestyles online despite struggling financially in their private lives.

“The men of these days have taken a wrong route. How can a man spend time on Snapchat the whole day showing us a lifestyle yet you have to be looking for money? Showing us a lifestyle which you're not even in,” she added.

According to Mukisa, men should concentrate more on building their financial stability instead of trying to impress people online.

‘Add Value to the Woman’

The singer further addressed men who feel threatened when their female partners are financially more successful.

Mukisa argued that a woman's financial success should not be viewed as a threat, but rather as an opportunity for both partners to build something bigger together.

“We are not here to make you feel weaker. We're here to see that we develop and multiply together... It's okay for a woman to be doing financially better than a man, but as a man you have to add value to the woman and make money, then create an empire out of it all,” she said.

Mukisa added that women can willingly support their partners financially when there is balance, mutual respect and a shared vision in the relationship.
