Reggae dancehall singer Sama Sojah, popularly known for his hit song “Akaama,” has claimed that he has personally experienced what he believes were acts of witchcraft within Uganda’s music industry.
Speaking during a media interview, Sama Sojah alleged that strange creatures were sent to his home, describing some of them as resembling snakes but with more than four legs.
“There is a lot of witchcraft in the music industry, and I have experienced it myself. They have sent me creatures that look like snakes and have more than four legs to my home,” he said.
The singer further claimed that some of the disturbing experiences have extended into his dreams, where he says he has received warnings against returning to certain places.
Sama Sojah said the alleged incidents are particularly worrying because he lives with his wife and children, expressing concern about the safety of his family.
“I have encountered these things myself. It is not a story I am cooking up, and I thank God that I am still alive,” he said.
Claims of witchcraft and spiritual interference have occasionally featured in Uganda’s entertainment industry, with some musicians attributing personal or career challenges to such forces.
However, Sama Sojah’s claims about the alleged creatures and witchcraft remain unverified, and there is no independent evidence presented to confirm them.
