Musician Acidic Vokoz has highlighted what he considers one of his biggest achievements as the Busoga Tourism brand ambassador, saying his work has helped promote pride in Busoga and its people.
Speaking about his role, the singer said he has used his platform to showcase Busoga Kingdom, its culture and heritage to audiences across Uganda.
According to Acidic Vokoz, his efforts have also encouraged some people who previously avoided identifying as Basoga to embrace their identity.
“Because of me, many people who didn’t like to be identified as Basoga are now proud to be called Basoga,” he said.
The singer described the reported shift in identity and pride as one of the most significant achievements of his time as a tourism ambassador.
He said he remains committed to promoting Busoga’s culture and heritage while showcasing the region beyond the boundaries of the kingdom.
