Singer Winnie Nwagi has opened up about how her approach to friendship has changed with age, revealing that she now values people who bring something meaningful to her life.
Speaking during a sit-down with fellow singer Sheebah Karungi on The Let’s Talk About It podcast, Nwagi said her priorities have changed from simply having friends who could take her out and keep her in the social scene.
“I want friends who have what I don’t have. Someone who can help me achieve what I don’t have,” she explained.
The Matala singer also said she admires women who work hard and achieve their goals independently, adding that she does not feel jealous of other women’s success.
“I am proud of women who achieve things on their own. I don’t care where you got it from; if you have achieved what you wanted and you are happy, I’m happy for you,” she added.
Sheebah also shared a similar view, saying she does not feel jealous when other people achieve success.
The two artistes agreed that people should be able to celebrate others’ achievements without constantly questioning how they attained them.
