It's all good news for the Bobi Wine family as his older son, Solomon Kampala, has finally secured a spot on an athletics team in America.

Kampala, who pursued his university education in the United States, announced on his social media that he has joined the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Track Team.

An excited Kampala sees this as a significant opportunity to shine on a larger stage and can't wait to get started.

"I have recently joined the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Track Team. I am grateful for this opportunity and very excited to kick off my collegiate track and field career at the Division One Level. The future looks bright. Go Islanders," he posted on Instagram.

Solomon Kampala is the firstborn of Barbie and Robert Kyagulanyi, commonly known as Bobi Wine.
