Popular deejays Suuna Ben and Mbazira Tonny headlined the POATE event, which took place at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala over the weekend.
The event focused on the celebration and promotion of Uganda's tourism, culture, and innovation. It showcased the country's culture and sounds.
Following the success of the event, Suuna Ben now says he is no longer a local deejay, as he was previously branded by fellow Kampala deejays.
He also says that, together with Mbazira Tonny, they are the most paid deejays in the city.
"We caused a stir at Speke Resort Munyonyo with our music, and it was a celebration. The performance was worth the money we asked for, and our bosses were not disappointed. At the moment, we are the most paid deejays in Kampala, and many of our colleagues can testify to that," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Suuna Ben is popular for his local sound mixed with urban necessities, which is commonly referred to as "Ekinyanya."
