Singer Martha Mukisa has revealed the artistes she admires most in Uganda’s music scene — and her picks might not surprise fans.
Although she’s been relatively quiet musically this year, the Sango hitmaker recently opened up about her favourite male and female artistes, naming Eddy Kenzo and Azawi at the top of her list.
“In Uganda, among the men, I love Eddy Kenzo so much. And among the female artistes, I love Azawi’s music. We actually come a long way with Azawi — we worked together before even coming to the limelight,” Martha Mukisa shared.
Martha also acknowledged Eddy Kenzo’s impact on her music journey, praising him for helping her score one of her biggest hits, “Sango.”
The talented vocalist remains a fan favourite thanks to her powerful voice, versatility, and authentic Ugandan sound — even as fans eagerly await her next big release.
