Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Executive Director Nyombi Thembo has praised singer John Blaq, describing him as one of Uganda's most unique musical talents because of his distinctive voice.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station, Nyombi said he has been impressed by the singer's deep and powerful vocals, which he believes set him apart from many other artists.

The UCC boss revealed that he is interested in meeting John Blaq to explore ways of supporting his music career.

"Creatives need to be unique and bring something new to stand out. I am impressed by John Blaq. He has a unique voice, and I want to meet him and see what we can do for him. His voice is something else," he explained.

Nyombi encouraged Ugandan musicians to focus on developing their own identities rather than copying trends, arguing that originality is one of the biggest ingredients for long-term success in the music industry.

He said artists who embrace their uniqueness are more likely to stand out and build lasting careers.
