Democratic Party Vice President Dr. Fred Mukasa Mbidde and his wife, Phiona Nayebale, are celebrating the birth of their first child together, a baby girl named Shatsi Nyonyozi Mbidde, three years after their wedding.
Mbidde shared the joyful news on social media, describing his newborn daughter as a blessing and expressing gratitude to his wife for the journey they have shared.
"Welcome to the family, baby girl, Shatsi Nyonyozi Mbidde, the very definition of benediction, benisons and beatitudes," he wrote.
The former East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) member also paid tribute to his wife, thanking her for the strength and love she showed throughout the journey.
"Thank you, my Phiona, for the beautiful fight. Love you till death," he added.
Mbidde and Phiona Nayebale exchanged vows in 2023 at the Uganda Martyrs Basilica, Munyonyo.
The arrival of baby Shatsi marks a new chapter for the couple, with friends, supporters, and well-wishers flooding social media with congratulatory messages as they celebrate the newest addition to the family.
