Rising singer Winnie Wa Mummy has opened up about how she protects herself from sexual advances in the entertainment industry, saying clear boundaries and professionalism have helped her avoid compromising situations.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station, the singer acknowledged that many young female artists face inappropriate advances from people seeking to exploit their careers.

Winnie, however, said she has managed to steer clear of such experiences by standing firm on her principles and making her boundaries clear from the start.

"I am young and very principled. I know what I want and what I do not want. I say no. You are not God and you do not hold my future," she said.

The singer explained that she maintains a professional relationship with everyone she works with to avoid sending mixed signals.

Winnie Wa Mummy also credited her management team for creating a safe working environment, revealing that security personnel and strict professional protocols help prevent inappropriate behavior.

"I have bouncers, and you cannot come at me just like that. The reason we are under management is to avoid such situations. My manager will always find a way out without us getting into that position," she explained.

Her remarks add to the ongoing conversation about the importance of professionalism, personal boundaries, and safe working environments within Uganda's entertainment industry.
