Comedian Kapere has opened up about the hardships he is facing, claiming he was told that some fellow comedians could be behind his misfortunes through witchcraft.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Kapere said he has endured numerous personal and financial challenges but rarely speaks publicly about them.

The comedian explained that despite trying to venture into other businesses to supplement his income, nothing seems to work out as planned.

"I have so many problems. I have never lamented, but sometimes it gets too much. The industry is dead. You decide to do some other business to feed yourself, but it also fails. I was told some comedians must have bewitched me," he partly explained.

Kapere also revealed that the lack of comedy shows has made it difficult for him to meet basic responsibilities such as paying rent and school fees.

Despite his struggles, he praised events promoter Abitex for consistently supporting comedians whenever opportunities arise.

"I wish Abitex had a show every week because he pays. If he had a show every week, we would be living a better life," he added.

His remarks highlight the financial challenges many entertainers continue to face as they search for consistent performance opportunities.
