Band musician Carol Nantogo has opened up about her closest friendships in Uganda’s music industry, naming the artistes she considers part of her inner circle.
Speaking in an interview with a local YouTuber, Nantogo praised Spice Diana, Vinka, Winnie Nwagi and Levixone, describing them as genuine friends who have stood close to her beyond their professional relationships.
“Most of the female musicians are my friends, Spice Diana, Vinka, Winnie Nwagi and Levixone. Those are my close friends. I am always together with them. They are really my people,” she said.
Nantogo, however, said she generally prefers having male friends, arguing that she finds a stronger sense of unity and commitment among them.
She noted that, in her experience, the bond and support among her male friends is different from what she has experienced among female artistes.
