Elijah Kitaka continues to stand out as one of Uganda’s most loved and promising artists.

Over the past five years, his musical journey has been nothing short of remarkable — a blend of talent, passion, and consistency that has seen his sound transcend Uganda’s borders and make waves across Africa.

Speaking in a recent interview with a local YouTuber, Kitaka opened up about his growth and the driving force behind his success. He revealed that his passion, not money, has always been at the heart of his craft.

“I love my job. I don’t do music for money or happiness; I do it because it’s what I love. I’ve worked hard, not because I want to chase money, but because music is part of me,” Kitaka explained.

Elijah Kitaka is part of a new generation of artists — alongside the likes of Joshua Baraka and Azawi — who are redefining Ugandan music and steadily pushing it toward the international stage.
