Outspoken musician Kalifa Aganaga has called out Eddy Kenzo, accusing him of politicising the Uganda National Musicians Federation — an organisation meant to unite all artistes across the country.

In an interview with a local TV station, Aganaga explained that the federation was established to support all musicians regardless of political affiliation, not to serve only those aligned with the government.

“The Uganda National Musicians Federation is for all of us — those in government and those in opposition. Kenzo should stop politicising it and make sure every musician benefits equally,” Aganaga said.

He further urged Kenzo to extend financial and structural support to artistes from all political camps if the federation is to retain credibility and unity.

“Politicising the federation weakens it in the public eye and could lead to its downfall,” he warned.

Aganaga, who was among the early supporters of the federation, insists that transparency and neutrality are key if the UNMF is to truly serve the music industry.
