Fast-rising star Ava Peace has boldly opened the door for a music battle with two of Uganda’s biggest female artists—Sheebah Karungi and Vinka.
Ava Peace, who was recently crowned Best Female Artist at the HiPipo Music Awards, says she has the catalogue, confidence, and fan base to face Sheebah or Vinka on stage.
Speaking in an interview with a local TV station, the TNS singer emphasized that she is motivated by healthy competition and sees the idea as a potential business opportunity.
“If it’s healthy and everyone is getting money out of it, then it’s okay. I can do a music battle with Sheebah Karungi. I have the music and I would do it with Vinka as well,” she stated.
Ava Peace is currently working under Jeff Kiwa, the former longtime manager of Sheebah. Some industry observers suggest that Jeff may be grooming her to directly compete with Sheebah, who is now independently managing her career.
Over the past two years, Ava Peace has proven to be one of the strongest new forces in the industry, consistently releasing hit songs and sharing the stage with top musicians.
Fans are already reacting online, with many wondering if Sheebah or Vinka will respond to the bold challenge.
