The year 2025 was a blend of intense politics and competitive music in Uganda, but several artistes still managed to remain consistent and shine musically.
Rapper Fik Fameica has now revealed the musicians he believes stood out the most during the year, praising their hard work, consistency, and impact on the industry.
Speaking in an interview, Fik Fameica named Tracy Melon as his number one artiste of 2025, crediting her for an outstanding year. He also praised several other stars who, according to him, kept the music scene vibrant.
“Different artistes like Tracy Melon — she performed well throughout the year. Kapeke also did great, Sheebah did well for the whole year, then King Saha, Mozelo, Gloria Bugie and Spice Diana,” Fik Fameica said.
The rapper added that he expects even stiffer competition in the coming year and challenged fellow Ugandan musicians to raise their standards.
“I expect an even better year than 2025. Musicians must tighten their belts because the competition is going to be tougher,” he added.
Fik Fameica remains one of Uganda’s most influential hip-hop artistes and says he is also preparing new music for his fans in the new season.
