Veteran DJ and media personality DJ Nimrod has criticized Swangz Avenue, saying the record label has failed to produce hit songs this year.
Speaking during an interview, Nimrod expressed disappointment with the label's output, claiming none of its artists have made a significant musical impact in recent months.
According to the celebrated deejay, the same criticism applies to artists such as Mudra and Spice Diana, whom he believes have also fallen short of expectations this year.
"Mudra, Swangz Avenue and Spice Diana have failed us this year. They have no hits. This quarter, Kalifah Aganaga is the only artist with the biggest song," he said.
Nimrod credited Kalifah Aganaga's Nassanga for standing out as one of the biggest songs of the year so far.
He also praised Vyroota and Fik Fameica, saying the two artists have remained consistent with their recent releases.
According to Nimrod, Vyroota's Kunsi, Fik Fameica's Champion Gal, and Kalifah Aganaga's Nassanga are currently among the biggest songs dominating Uganda's music scene.
He went on to rank Vyroota and Fik Fameica among the frontrunners in the race for Artist of the Year, citing the strong reception their music has received from fans.
