The Make You Dance rapper, who confessed to loving trousers, features in her See Ya official video decorated in a beautiful black dress belted with a yellow ribbon.

When Keko was first signed to the label, like many artistes, she vanished off the scene after one single with the label. However, the long wait is over and all the Kekonians (her fans) can smile again.

See Ya, produced by Fahrenheitz, is one of those singles where the rapper returns to her dance roots, and it has the potential to take Africa by storm.
The video was dropped by her record label Sony Music Africa via their YouTube channel.

SEE YA - VIDEO

It kicks off in a rather haunted Gothic city with a water mark of #Kekonian across the rear, then random pictures of wet paint pouring on glass and walls appear.

Unlike the songs that launched her career, Keko starts this one with a ballad; so yes, she sings. She sings the first verse accompanied by a high-tempo electronic instrumental.

The chorus, unlike Naughty, is quite catchy especially when Keko belts out “Lelele oh ohoh...” you can’t help but sing along. And that is when the old Keko comes back with hard-core punch lines that gave Ugandan rap a life-line a few years back. She has not lost her sound, her art.

The video director does his best at displaying the key words in the lyrics which obviously makes a viewer part of it. The biggest asset the producers of See Ya had were the makeup artistes and the set designers.

The mystery they created around Keko’s dress in the first scenes, the liquid she was standing in will take at least a while before we can figure them out. The paint splash on the walls was awesome yet not ridiculously exaggerated.

Keko's How we do

It pours to the end of the video forming a wet paint of #Kekonian. Good song, video, production, lighting and makeup. This song deserves more than an African platform.

Apparently, Keko is still working on her debut album which was supposed to be released early last year. May her fans wait for its release, hopefully this year.
