Emmanuel Mayanja, popularly known as AK47 and sometimes Akay, wrote part of Sheebah Karungi's new dancehall hit song titled "Tunywe".
While appearing on Douglas Lwanga's NTV The Beat show, Sheebah Karungi revealed that AK47 co-wrote the song. Sheebah also says the day AK47 died, she had gone to DEJAVU to pick him for the video shoot of the song.
She says when she reached at the club, her hair-dresser, Resty, who had been called in preparation for the video shoot, informed her of AK47's bathroom incident but she remained calm because she thought it was just a simple fall and nothing critical.
She says she was shocked when she found out AK47 had died.
AK47 was not just a musician to me. He was a friend. He was always their when things became tough for me. He was always with me at the recording studio and inside the boothe. Whenever things became hard, he would say he believed in me and he knows I can do it. He always joked about not shaming him. -- Sheebah said.
Sheebah says she's never got over AK47's death but she's trying -- one-step-at-a-time ... and she will perform at every show she's been paid to perform at -- for her fans.
