The Inspector General of Police, IGP Okoth Martin Ochola has on Monday afternoon transferred 49 senior Traffic officers of the force. 

In a letter dispersed this evening and in what he referred to as transfers with immediate effect, the IGP indicated that, the moved is normal and geared towards effective service delivery.

Key among the transferred officers are; SP Kiberu Grace from Ssezibwa to Kampala Metroplitan (KMP) as Deputy traffic commander, ASP Israel Wambesyo from KMP to Ssezibwa as Regional traffic officer (RTO), ASP Mpabaisi Tom from CPS Kampala to Sipi as RTO, Mugabi Sam from Kawempe to Albertine as RTO, and ASP Kalenzi Abedi from Jinja Road to West Nile as RTO.

Others are; ASP Luyima Julius from CPS Kampala to Masindi as OC Traffic, ASP Odongo Dickson from Kiira Division to Ntungamo as OC Traffic, ASP Kamugisha Elia from Old Kampala to Bugiri as OC Traffic, ASP Chelengat Irene from West Nile to Jinja Road as OC Traffic, ASP Rwakirenzi Reinhold from Kabalagala to Mubende as OC Traffic, ASP AngeyoCaroline from Wandegeya to Mpigi as OC Traffic, ASP Mutungye Savasio from Kira Road to Kayunga as OC Traffic.

Also, IP Katureebe Bedah moves from Kisoro to Ibanda as OC Traffic, AIP Akena Christopher from CPS Kampala to Bukomansimbi as OC Traffic among others.
The IGP in the reshuffles exchanged officers from towns with those in villages.

They all are expected to hand over offices and move to new posts immediately.
