The ministry of health has announced that 32 new cases of COVID19 were confirmed on Monday, bringing the number of cases to 489.

According to a statement released this morning, 19 cases are truck drivers. 14 from South Sudan via Elegu point of entry, 2 from Kenya via Malaba, 2 from Kenya Busia and 1 from Tanzania Mutukula. 

Meanwhile, 13 new cases were from contacts of earlier confirmed cases. These include; 7 from Kyotera, 2 from Tororo, 1 from Wakiso, 1 from Mpigi and 1 from Gomba Districts.
Uganda has 391 cases admitted at 15 referral hospitals across the countries, 79 recoveries and 0 COVID19 related deaths.

Also, Uganda handed over 25 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID19 to their respective countries. 

9 of these were Tanzanians, 12 Kenyans, 1 Eritrean, 1 Congolese and 1 truck driver whose nationality was not captured.
