Opposition Forum for Democrtatic change, FDC has condemned what they term as commercialisation, intimidation and militalisation of the campaigns by the ruling National Resistance Movement, NRM.
Addressing the media at FDC head offices in Najjanankumbi this morning, the party national Chairman Amb. Wasswa Birigwa also scoffed at the Uganda police force and electoral commission for failing to condemn the NRM campaign voters' bribery.
According to Amb. Birigwa, after the party met police over their defiance campaign and P10 youth group, they explained that the strategy is their way of getting supporters.
FDC also expressed concern over poor timing of sensitisation and low numbers of the newly acquired biometric machines by the electoral commission.
Birigwa insists that P10 (FDC Mambas) is not a militia group and after the meeting, FDC says the police cleared them to continue operation.
A group of FDC youths calling themselves P10 recently stormed Dr. Kiiza Besigye's campaign rallies guarding him from his enemy, drawing attention and condemnation from the Police.
