The Ntungamo Magistrate's court will on March 17th start hearing the case in which supporters of Independent candidate Amama Mbabazi are accused of attacking and thumping those of NRM.

The same court has this afternoon extended bail of the 11 suspects who are charged with eight counts of assault, three counts of malicious damage and three counts of causing grievous bodily harm to March 17, 2016.

Represented by their lawyers Onesmus Matsiko, Jonathan Bwagi and Savarino Twinobusingye, they appeared before the fully packed Ntungamo grade one magistrate Richard Ndangwa with their sureties.

Court also maintains the arrest warrant for six Mbabazi's supporters suspected to have participated in the Ntungamo campaign clashes including Boaz Kumwesiga, Sulait Amanya, Amidu Kamwesiga, Alex Sekeba, Rebson Muhangi and Apollo Asingwire.

Prosecution alleges that on December 13, 2015, while in Ntungamo the 11 clashed with supporters of the ruling National Resistance Movement party and caused them bodily harm. But they denied the charges.
