Motor-mouthed Frank Gashumba was yesterday finally arrested and taken to the police coolers. Frank was earlier banned by Ugandan Communications commission from appearing on NTV to discuss national issues.
This website understands Frank was a few months back banned by Ugandan Communications commission from appearing on TV to discuss national issues. This came after his remarks that UCC termed as "profane and abusive on radio and TV programs".
“I am not a factory, I do not sugarcoat anything; if you ask for my opinion, that is what you get…my head is not powered by anyone. If I was meant to be controlled, I would have been created with a remote control,” Frank Gashumba fumed upon learning of a directive from Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) stopping Nation Television (NTV) from hosting him.
Yesterday, UCC boss ordered the arrest of Sismuka Uganda CEO .... and spent the better half of yesterday held in Kibuli at the CID headquarters.
"As expected the State has ordered for my Arrest. Now being held at CID headquarters Kibuli.
Crime: Saying that Dr. Kizza Besigye won the 2016 General Elections. Official Complainant is Uganda Communications Commission's Executive Director Mr. Godfrey Mutabazi." posted Frank claiming it's those statements that made him get arrested.
