When you’re famous, everything you do eventually finds its way to the spotlight. With that being said, you’d think celebrities would to their best to make sure that any attention they bring to themselves won’t do any damage.
However, just like anyone else – celebrities make mistakes, some of which are even deadly. Over the years, there have been several high-profile court cases and stories about celebrities who have been involved in murders. Within that group, there remains yet another group, full of people who killed one of the closest people to them in the world: their spouse.
While the circumstances vary, many of these crimes were extremely violent and unnecessary.
Former MP Godi
THE former Arua Municipality Member of Parliament Hussein Akbar Godi was sentenced to 25years in Luzira for the murder of his 19-year-old wife. He masterminded her death and after investigations were done, it was found that his then husband was behind her death.
Tonku
Thomas Nkurungira aliasTonku, murdered Brenda Karamuzi, 27, and it shocked and roiled the nation in 2010. Tonku dumped her into a septic tank in Bukasa Muyenga. He accused Brenda of sleeping with other men in Kampala. He is also still in Luzira serving his life sentence.
City Medic, Bagenda
The city top medic, Brian Bagenda murdered Makerere business school (MUBS) student Enid Twijukye in cold blood. It is said that she sleeping with other men yet she was investing a lot of money in her. He landed on WhatsApp messages between her and another man in Dubai. He strangled her with the help of another friend and dumped her in Namanve forest.
Kasiwukira’s widow
Eriya Bugembe Sebunya’s (Kasiwukira) widow, Ms Sarah Nabikolo’s was acquitted by the High Court after the court failed to find sufficient evidence to incriminate her in the murder of her husband and city businessman.
However, in October last year, Nabikolo together with her two colleagues, Catherine Kyasa and Collines Lubolwa was arrested while trying to leave Uganda to Kenya through Busia border. She at her home but she is not allowed to leave the country
