The mother of Baby Gloria has opened up on the safety guidelines she issued to Gloria to keep her safe and focused in school.
Betty Nakibuka explained she drew up tough rules and guidelines, which included coming back home before 7:00 PM, even when she was at university.
"I taught her the system when she was little, so it’s hard for her to suddenly change. I made sure she understood that coming back late was forbidden," she explained in an interview with a local YouTuber.
Nakibuka adds she stopped Baby Gloria from sleeping in a hostel when she reached campus. Instead, she got her a house in Kololo, but she was always at home before late.
She never wanted her to sleep in a hostel because she would be interrupted by the media and fellow students.
"She wanted to stay in a hostel, but we were against the idea. We imagined that the media or other students would be in her business, taking photos, so we got her a house at McKenzie in Kololo, but even then, she would still return in time," she added.
The mother's confession paints a clear picture of what parents go through to raise their daughters.
